Cynthia T. Canevaro
Director of Administration and Business Development
Cynthia joined HNSI in March of 2008, as a Corporate Director after spending 20 years with then EDS Corporation, a $26 billion global IT outsourcing and services company, where she served in a variety of management positions including Senior HR Business Partner, Senior HR Outsourcing Portfolio Manager, Manager of Executive Development and Leadership Assessment, and Manager of Global Community Affairs and Education Outreach. Recruited by the then-Chairman of the Board, she served as the corporate spokesperson for external education initiatives, and led numerous EDS delegations attending the FORTUNE Education Summit. Prior to joining EDS, Mrs. Canevaro served the President of the United States as a Special Assistant to the Secretaries of U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and Education, and to the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. In 1985, she was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Education as the Region 6 (TX, OK, NM, AK, LA) Secretary’s Representative serving as his liaison to elementary and secondary education institutions in both the public and private sectors, as well as print and broadcast media, and to profit and non-profit organizations. A native Oklahoman, Mrs. Canevaro graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in Communications.
